Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI takes the second place in overclocking test and fourth place in performance test, but it is just 0.4% slower than the most efficient model from Asus. The 1% difference in overclocking is not significant at all and in addition Abit didn’t try to strip the motherboard of accessories.
ECS NF650iSLIT-A is a great choice for two types of customers: non-gamers and gamers that play on a ‘low-cost’ SLI configuration. The motherboard cannot set the full-featured x16 mode even with one video card installed, which decreases the gaming performance. MSI P6N SLI (non-Platinum) is sold at the same price as ECS NF650iSLIT-A and features a little bit better selection of functions. The tested specimen did not support DDR2-1066 memory the way it was supposed to, although at DDR2-800 clock no stability problems are observed. Therefore we can boldly recommend this model for users with a limited budget who want to get a SLI-compatible solution but will use only one video card. Such users are a frequent phenomenon.
